Uludag
Uludag Mountain, the famous Mount Olympus of Mysia, is the most popular and best-equipped winter sports area in Turkey and also, with its forest and Alpine meadows, an excellent holiday area for those seeking rest and relaxation. In fact, Uludag means 'Big Mountain' and is actually the highest mountain in Western Anatolia, culminating at Kara Tepe (2543m). It has a very-well preserved flora and fauna. Furthermore, Uludag offers numerous viewpoints from which in good weather the prospect extends to Istanbul and the Bosporus or Black Sea.

Uludag Ski Center is accessible, either along a sealed road, or else by a combined cable-car route which is recommended when the road is icy. Total bed capacity is around 3 500. In Uludad Ski Center there are chair-lifts, three ski-lifts, slalom and giant slalom courses, beginner's slopes and a small hospital.
